There are two possible answers, one of which is more expensive than the other (I believe, I've only tried one).
ONE: Assuming you have a broadband connection, attach a wireless access point (I reccomend Linksys) to the broadband adapter in your wall, and look for an access point on your computer. On Windows, go to Control Panel, Network Connections, and right-click on a wireless network, and search for an access point. It should be obvious from there. On Mac, at the top of the screen, usually next to the clock, is a wireless signal icon. Click on it and find the appropriate wireless network.
TWO: Buy an everywhere wireless card. This will allow you to have internet anywhere you can get to a satalite. The one linked below required a PCI card slot, which most laptops have (it's a playing card-sized slot). This is usually more expensive than the above, but gets you wireless anywhere.

If you don't have any wireless connection in your area, the best solution is to get a wireless broadband connection through your cell phone company. Cingular charges about $50/month for this I think. They give you a PCMIA card which fits into your laptop slot.
If you have one of the newer laptops which has a wi-fi card, you can also subscribe to one of the wireless connection services such as in the Google search below

If you have a newer up to date laptop, it should have a built in Wi-Fi card. So u wont have to install anything. If it doesnt have that, then u gotta buy one from the store. If the area you live in doesnt have any unsecure wireless connections, then ur gonna have to pay for high speed internet if u wanna get online.

If your area truly does not have ANY wireless connection, there is nothing you can do. There are certain areas of the country where cell telephones do not work. A fast and easy way is to look for business or education users who are connecting wirelessly, and ask what services they are using in your area, and what equipment.

The best thing to do is to get an ADSL Wireless modem.
Get an ADSL subscription and connect the ADSL line to that modem and you will have wireless connection at home. That is what i have at home now :) Call your internet service provider and ask them about this setup, i am sure they can help you on this.
