why is it when you get on a bus.. all the black people sit in the back??? were they not complaining about this during civil rights???

I have yet to figure that out. I'm not racist, but it seems so stupid. Of course not all black people sit in the back, but the majority do. My daughter and I ride the bus often, and when she was about 4 yrs old, a white guy got on the bus and sat in the back. Her eyes got real wide and she said innocently "Mom, that guy sat where the black people sit" She didn't say this because any ideas were put into her head, she said it because simply this is what she had seen everytime we rode the bus.
I think that they will always accuse us of not treating them properly and there is nothing we can do about it. No matter how they act or what the circumstances are. They wante to be treated equally, yet they seem to think that what they do or how they act doesn't matter.
Another question I have is, If their ancestors were slaves and worked hard, why aren't they like that today? The stereotype is that they are on welfare and don't know how to even speak correct english.
can't anybody give us an answer?

Maybe it's just people who often ride a bus tend to sit in the back.
1. It is common courtesy to move to the back of the bus to make room for those getting on - which happens at the front of the bus.
2. It usually makes it easier to get off - the front door is often for entering only, and the door located halfway is for exiting. It's easier to push your way forward from the back half to get out than to fight the tide of those getting from the front half.
3. You get to see survey the whole bus - which is just more interesting.
4. Did you never go on a school trip? The cool kids always sit in the back.

Im white adn i always get to the back, no idea why to be honest, maybe a throwback to the school bus, or maybe i just dont wanna be near teh front if it crashes
