I don't know about 'forcing' a period but you can reliably predict the onset of a period by taking a contraceptive pill. Why would you want to 'force ' a period?

Try not to worry if your periods aren't regular, especially if you have been on certain medications. I didn't have one for 3 years and 6 months after stopping the meds I've been as regular as clockwork (and I've never in my life been regular before). Stress, diet, eating disorders, medications, illicit drugs and a whole load of other things can affect periods. I would suggest that if you are really worried then you should go to your doctor or local health dept and ask what your options are..... I wish I could be of more help to you, good luck.

Yes, there is a way of "forcing" a period, but you will have to visit a gynocologist, and he will have to do several tests, and then decide what might be best for you.

Nine times out of ten, he will perscribe birth control if your periods are irregular, and the tests that he runs come up with clear results.

However, he can give you hormone pills called Progestrone that will make you get your period.

Do you mean making it start? You can try some herbs like parsley tea and black cohosh.
