I am the one they call to help clean or talk to when they have a death in the family. I'm just not the one they call to say I love you I miss you Are you O. K.?

I think society has done this to people. I know different people who call when they want/need something, but, never call for any other reason. I seem to have to initiate just getting together, general talking, etc. And, it seems to be a crime these days to actually want to see your friends outside of cyberspace and text messaging. In short, you're not alone.

This happens to me too. We are reliable. So reliable, that people tend to think we don't need ( or want ) as much help or support as other (squeaky wheels) in our family circle get.
