At 15 he/she should earn their allowance so my suggestion is between 20 and 30 depending on how much chores they do weekly and without having to be reminded.

Depends on what they do to earn it, like take out the trash, vacuum, dust, whatever. $20 a week if they pitch in around the house. I think that's fair...
