I'd like to interview with Company B on Monday. How do I frame the offer from Company A so it is in Company B's best interest to Interview me, while they have dragged their feet so far. It took Company B a week to request the interview, and as of yet it has not been scheduled.

Company A has already sent me an Employment Contract. I have requested 48 hrs to consider the offer from Company A.

Call Company B, preferably speaking with the hirining manager (instead of the recruiter), and say that you like them (state the reasons why you're impressed with how the company is doing), and that you have another offer, but that you'd love to speak with them too, since you'd just looove to be with them. Ask for the interview to be scheduled soon. Find out who the decision makers need to be on how they make an offer, and how long it would take them.

That may expedite the scheduling of the interview, and the decision making process. If it does not, you do owe Company A an answer, and will need to live with the consequences.

mmm... I'm facing the same dilemma. I think the best approach is to be proactive. Call Company B and ask if you could come in next Monday, because you like it so much better than the other company that is currently offering you a job. If they like you enough they will speed up the process for you. Meanwhile, have you asked Company A for a few weeks to consider their offer? Tell them that you are still waiting on another offer--if your skill set is really crucial to them they might even raise their offer!

Dont accept the position from company A until you know company B's offer. You cant put either offer into perspective until B actually puts an offer on the table! Wait til your interview...let them know youve an offer from another company (dont give them details, politely decline that) and say you want to go over both of the offers with your wife. ;) hehe

Sorry. Due to your hesitancy company a's position has been filled and company b has been sold and dismantled.
