U have not mentioned about duration of ur menstrual cycle. is it Coming on time every month. If there is not too much of variation in its duration do following calculation
Consider first day of ur bleeding as ur first day of ur MC.
Duration of ur MC - 16 = X
Duration of ur MC - 12 = Y
This will give u one small value (X) and one big value (Y), try to have sex in this duration only. because chances that u to get conceive are high in this duration
Let me give u example
If ur MC duration is 26 days then X=10 and Y =14
Then have sex in between 10th & 14th day of ur cycle.
Secondy if u think ur pregnant u can confirm it as early as 7th day of ur missed period. Now a days Urinary Pregnancy Test Card is available in medical store, it is simple and reliable pregnancy test u can do it own as per instruction given over it. U have to just pour a drop of ur ur urine in slot provided and watch for colour band to apper, if two bands appers it means that ur pregnant,if one band apper itmeans ur not pregnant, if no band apper means some thing is wrong with ur test kit or ur method.

Home pregnancy tests are usually very accurate 6 weeks after your menstrual period. Which is also knows as being 6 weeks pregnant.

Home pregnancy tests usually look for a level of the pregnancy hormone "HcG" of about 20 to 50mIU/ml or IU/L.

By 6 weeks most pregnancy's are at 1,080 to 56,500mIU/ml or IU/L. Which is WAY above what these tests are looking for.

I am a little confused about the question tittle. How long should you leave the sperm inside you? After intercourse, if you are trying to conceive, many specialist would suggest laying on your back with your rump higher than your midsection for 20 to 30 mins to help the sperm down where it needs to be.

Good luck!
