In CAT, the socre depends on many factors like number of questions, level of toughness, etc. So, one can say the expected cut off score for IIM only after the CAT paper. But you need to get atleast 97 to 98 percentile position for IIM (Hope u know what's percentile). This is required only to get in next round of GD/PI. Where you will be assessed of other skills.

For CAT, you are mainly assessed in three skills.
1. Language
2. Data Interpreatation/ Data Sufficiency
3. Quantitavie Skills

As a BE student you will be able to do well in later two. U have to study them from basic concepts. First brush up your concepts from basic books. Then try to answer some model papers of CAT in a exam like conditions.

Study the pattern of questions. But always remember that the in CAT, there is no fixed kind of pattern.

It is better to prepare all three sections 75-80% rather than mastering any one section with 100% and leaving one with 40%.
Because in CAT, there is no certainity which section would be given more importance. It may happen in CAT any one of the section (say, for language) is totally ignored and other two are emphasised. There for prapare all subjects.

And yes, with the overall cut off scores, you will also have to score mimimum cut off score in all the three sections. If your overall score is very high but individual score in any one of the sections is not good, you may not be selected. Again, this sectional cut off scores are also declared only after the CAT and yes they are also only predictions based on the question paper and difficulty level.

THE MOST THREE IMPORTANT THINGS IN CAT ARE:
1. SPEED
2. ACCURACY
3. STRONG LOGICAL POWER

It is not only the accuracy which is required but proper speed of answering should be there too. Always remember, And always remember, there is always a system of negative marking so do not answer hastily.

From this year, the CAT will be of 2 and 1/2 hours instead of previous tests of two hours. So be prepared for any uncertainitites.

In the end, Best of Luck. Aim high and achieve high.

Oh no, we've the comparable element, yet my cat runs away! We took away the cat food so she gets fed two times an afternoon and can't graze anymore, yet that did no longer ward off the different one from coming in, and we've in basic terms had a magnetic cat flap put in, i think of its worked so a procedures, because of the fact the different cat has stopped coming in, yet he continues to be in the backyard. yet another element , it could sound merciless, yet we've a sort of toy weapons that shoot the little pellets and we've that by the returned door for next time he comes around - in the summertime it rather is going to be a hose! sturdy luck with this, our cat is now afraid to bypass out at night now, some cats are in basic terms bullies i assume! P.S, magnetic cat flaps are great exciting, we are in a position to tell whilst our cat has been in the kitchen because of the fact she keeps getting caught to the spoons!
