now lets get one thing strait i am not or never will be a racist!! but I'm sure I'll get called one for this question. but oh well here it goes the NAACP has started a new crusade attacking any thing that has to do with confederate. this means monuments in cemetery's or any where else. they even wanted Richmond to take down the portrait of Robert e lee even though he was champion of equal rights after the war. i was all for taking the confederate flag off the dome in SC . but this is going to far in my book most of the men that the memorials represent couldn't even afford to own slaves so why do they feel they need to remove stuff honoring the brave boys that died fighting for what they believed in AND IT WASN'T SLAVERY

I think the PC police have gone bonkers and the NAACP is one of the worst.

Of course they've crossed the line. They've been beyond the line for a while now. Why aren't they this concerned about the strategic killing off of black and brown children by Planned Parenthood? Because they're no good, lying, hypocrites.

Why should you have to clarify that you're not a racist? It is sad that a white person has to defend his own character whenever he disagrees with a black person on any issue. Geez...

Sure, it's not about slavery. But anyways, if the Confederates won the war, do you think they would do something of a similar kind also?

... well... I'll put it to you like this... it wasn't all about slavery... granted... but that was part of it...

and the nazis weren't all about killing Jews... but that was part of it...

and if I was a nazi or a black person... I don't think I would like to see either flag or leaders of either side being held up...

but, me personally... it's not a particularly big issue with me... I'm just saying I see where they come from...

They are trying to rewrite history. They are a far left group that always cross the line.

You cannot defend Confederates without, by implication, defending the loyal defenders of oppression throughout history.

The boys that died "defending" the Fatherland in 1944 are not the innocents you claim. They are the most pitiable of losers, the opprobrium of humanity; they gave their lives (in fact!!) in the cause of oppression.

If you're not really racist, how is it that I can guess your race? You haven't told us your race!

Don't just tear down the statues of Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin and Stalin. Tear down the statues of oppressors everywhere! Tear down the statue of Ivan the Terrible; tear down the statue of Tito. Tear down the statues of Kim Jung Il and Saddam Hussein. Tear down the statues of Robert E. Lee, regardless of how he contritely made peace with God (or attempted to) before his death. Tear them all down.

And utter utmost condemnation on all the flags and doctrines of vile oppression always!

And revere all human beings!

And revere all literature!

it symbolizes the system that the negroes lived under for so long. the naacp isn't against history, but against the symbols which perpetuate the system and what that system was.
