You will need 24 semester-unit of coursework in accouting and 24 semester-unit of coursework in business-related subjects. And of course, your bachelor degree (with prove).

What is your MBA in...my MBA is financial management (also from CA) and I was told I could but best have a strong accounting background. But I earned my MBA in 1982 and the rules may have changed.

If you are still in contact with any of your grad school profs you might ask them.
