i solved for y.... i dont know if thats what you wanted.
y=9
here is what i did:
-5y+6=-6y+15
+6y (you need to get rid of the y on one side)so then you have:
y+6=15
-6 -6 (then you need the regular number gone)
so you have:
y=9
