they just played in one World Cup.....Turkey, Senegal were also impressive in the last world cup but they were not playin in this years world cup.

They've played in 2 actually... would get your facts straight!!!!! They earned that place the hard way... I'd like to see your teams play a brutal home and away series against Uruguay and then tell me whether or not they deserved a place!!

They play a 2 match serie against the South American 5th string in order to qualify! I guess they do deserve it. Cause, believe me... every south american country wants to be in the cup really bad. So just to beat one out of it is an acomplishment.
Harder than qualifying in the concacaf! Seriously!
They beat Uruguay out of this last cup!
PS The coach for Australia in the 2006 cup was Gus Hiddink(from Holland)
In 98 he took Holland to the semifinals4th place
In 2002 he took South Korea to the same spot
In 2006 he came short in a game against the Champions to be!
Sports are about the moment and not the past...

Wow, what's your deal with Australia? You seem to have some serious issues with them. I think they deserve a place in World Cup Soccer. I'm not a big fan of theirs or anything but I don't see why they wouldn't deserve it.
