This is my son's bonus question for school and I have no idea???

My guess is seek comfort and support from the herd. They are very protective of their young and will rally around them for protection, and charge the attacker. A bit like us I suppose. Have a good day. Cheers =)

Elephants live in a matriarchal society. All the female elephants stay in the herd and the juvenile and adult males are pushed out. If the elephant is female, she would seek the support of the other females. If the elephant is an adult male, I'm not sure what he'd do.

They cry, elephants are supposed to be one of the most social creatures on earth. They have been observed crying when they are lonely scared or hurt.

maybe it will take things positively and cheer himself up a bit by listening to 'herb alpert & d tijuana brass' "elephant walk" theme...poor elepahant (sigh)...calling Dumbo is the next best solution. "an elephant in need is an elephant in deed"...duhh?

HEY-my daughter has the same bonus question this week! Is your child in the Whitlock class. We couldn't find anything but that they cry.
