In the dictionary, being dynamic usually refers to moving with energy. Same deal in the employment world; a dynamic personality is:

+ enthusiastic (not reluctant or hesitant to work, but excited - for example, you won't complain about doing a task, you'll be optimistic and upbeat about getting it done and doing it well - you see it as a great challenge or opportunity, not a chore)

+ energetic (not lazy or slow, but fast and spirited - for example, you won't come into work falling asleep or hit a sleepy slump - whether it's your body, your mind, or both - halfway through the day; you'll be able to consistently perform with the pep and energy of an exercise instructor)

+ driven (not apathetic or disinterested, but an ambitious go-getter - for example, you actually care about the job, because you want to get promoted, finish a great project, or achieve other work goals - your work matters to you, even indirectly, you have a strong motivation to come in every morning and kick ***)

+ assuredness (not lacking in confidence or uncertain, but decisive and self-confident - for example, you don't constantly question your work or get down on yourself for making a mistake - you focus on learning from your experiences and priding your strengths)

Keep in mind that few people actually fit this ideal, and it has a lot to do with your compatibility with the job. But either being able to "fake" these traits on the job, or just intensify your existing ones, will certainly do.

If you seem soft spoken, people might not find you as suitable, as they think this indicates you are shy, disinterested, or lack confidence, all of which will prevent you from being an outgoing, bold, enthusiastic employee like their "dynamic" ideal.

Here are some sites with good tips on being and/or appearing more confident:

I find in general employers love "dynamic" employees.
Co-workers in general hate "dynamic" employees.

To sum up... they do an excellent job whilst being a pain in the a*se!!!
Nothing at all wrong about being softly spoken'

Dynamic as in self motivated, smart, independent but mostly a workaholic cow.
