what is a qualitative predictions???
i need to know for a chem lab.

'6 grams' is quantative. 'CuSO4 will precipitate' is qualitative. Qualitative is what will happen. Quantative is how much will happen..The more you know, the better you can hypothesise-- predict..

Ideas about what the results of an experiment will be that do not involve concrete numbers (this is quantitative).
"The solution will turn purple" or "bubbles will be produced" are qualitative predictions.
"6grams of copper sulfate will precipitate" is a quantitative prediction since it gives a quantity or amount.
