I had an error with my computer, and some how my Yahoo Messenger is set to Dial up instead of Cable. It won't let me sign into Messenger, but I can view my mail. How do I change the settings to cable. I've been on cable for years, and I don't know how or why it got changed. On my Messenger tool bar, nothing is high lighted, so I can't change it there.

Click Messenger, Preferences, then the Connection tab. Near the bottom is a menu allowing you to select you connection type and location.

call the dial up people and they can tell u
