The Continent Australia is on is also called Australasia. And besides, Australia keep winning the Oceanian Cup cos they have no competition! It's like Celtic and Rangers in Scotland. Besides, it will be a good test for the Aussies, Asia have some tricky teams

Adding to what the person above said about the Asia/Pac. It's the only way for Australia to compete in international competition other than the world cup. It's a matter of proximity not boundaries.

Australia is part of the Asia pacific region. They were in the south pacific region and that wasn't given qualifying status.... It would sound to me that you are worried that Australia may knock out your team in the competition

austrailia are not part of asia...they are a continent and country in themselves but that would leave them out of all the continental cups cuz austrailia is the only country in the continent of austrailia.....that is the reason why austrailia has been put into the''ASIA PACIFIC'' category and so they take part in all asian competitions
