Alright ghouls and boys, Halloween is fastly approaching and I would like to hear what is your favorite all time scary movie...and, what you think is the all time worst "scary" movie. The latest movies that I think have been the best in writing, effects and creepiness is the first Saw movie. The worst movie that I have seen is a tie with the same director "High Tension" and "The Hills Have Eyes 2006" They get a big thumbs down....they are all just gore and violence just to have gore and violence. High Tension didn't even make sence...but I want to hear what you think. Ten points to the reason that I just like best. :-)

I love scary movies!! I would have to say that my favorite scary movies are Saw 1& 2, The Grudge, Jeepers Creepers 1& 2, and Final Destination 1 & 2(I haven't seen the 3rd one yet). I really like the second Saw movie a lot better than the first one and I can't wait to see Saw 3. I also can't wait to see The Grudge 2. They both look really good.

The worst scary movie that I've seen would probably have to be the one I just saw the other day called 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning'. Why? Well, it's not that it wasn't scary or anything. I just felt like I was watching the one that came out in 2003 all over again. There were way too many things in 'TCM: The Beginning' that were similar to the TCM remake that came out in 2003. Other than that, it was pretty good. It had more blood and gore, more Leather-face, and more chainsaw.

By the way, great question!!

...My favorite is Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. It has very few tense moments, and many hilarious ones. And I have always been a big A & C fan.
...The absolute worst excuse for a horror movie (or a movie of any kind) has to be Plan 9 from Outer Space, which is a one-stop clearinghouse for bad cinematic techniques and pathetic scripts - I'll bet you can't watch it more than once. Ed Wood hit new lows with this one. And by the way, making your child watch it could constitute child abuse!

i really like Saw II. oh the gore.. and the caption "oh yes, there will be more blood." and i like the storyline.. how the jigsaw all came about and X marks the spot. this movie really captures alot of horror-flicks-fan attention.

same goes to Final Destination 3!

i cant wait for saw 3 this coming halloween!

If you are looking for a scary movie with a storyline, "Ghost Story" starring Alice Krige is a good one, as is "Lady in White."
A haunted house movie titled, "The Uninvited," from the 1940's, is scary.
"Fright Night" is a good comedic scary movie.
