I don't know much about cars . this one was a gift. The Kia is a sportage with computerized thingamagijs, and when I drive it , she always has her check engine like on she has been checked even her computer, she does not want to go past 60mls. on expressway , she hesitates when gas pedel is pressed to go even 50mls. she bounces on every pothole or bump on the road , she has new wheels, new brakes, maintainance just this week again, new filter , oil, sparks, and radiator flush what else can be done to get her as before , when I got her , does this car have a cruise control I was asked but I don't know as she ws a gift and owner is in heaven and can't ask him. would appreciate just a hint as to where to begin.Oh she lives with me in Fla. Miami Beach.

Her computer may be bad. There usually isn't a code that tells mechanic it's bad. Take it to Kia or get a computer for it in a junk yard. Unplug the old one remove it. Install new one,plug it in and see if it fixes it. A junk yard computer doesn't cost that much

With the check engine light on, it is either a fuel problems, or a sensor and or computer problem. As long has you do not have much power, sounds like both. I would get someone to do a check, if you have a AutoZone place down there in Fla take it there. They will do a check for free to see what sensors are out and need to get fixed.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A NEW SET OF SPARK PLUG WIRES OR NEW COILS, DID YOU HAVE THE FUEL FILTER CHANGED ALSO?
