Let's say you have a very intimidating 100+ lb dog, and can be very intimidating yourself.
You still have options on how to handle it. What would your course of action be?

I would take a can of whipped cream out of the fridge and quietly walk over to him and then squirt his face until he woke up. Then, I would take the 100+ lb dog and make him run away. As he is running away, the whipped cream would slowly drip into his eyes and make him run into a garbage can where he belongs. He would get stuck and would become a famous "real TV" star who has the history of getting stuck inside a garbage can. He would become rich and would sue me for every penny I have. Then I would be the homeless person who lives on the sidewalk.

Flick lit cigarettes at him and poke him with a stick...lol...that's funny! No really, I'd order a pizza, right? And tell the pizza delivery dude, that you'll be on the sidewalk in front of your house. And then I'd pull up a bean bag in front of the window with the lights off and a bag of movie theater butter microwave popcorn, and let the games begin........

Why do anything? He's sleeping. It's the least harmful thing a person can do.
I'd probably feel a bit ashamed for even considering scaring the dude off with my dog. Close your blinds, quietly wish the poor guy some luck, then get some sleep yourself.

I would call the cops. Since most likely they just need a place to crash, and the cops would either take them to a shelter or to county. Since, I do live in the city, and have come across, people who do do that, I wouldn't wake any one up just on the street , you don't know if they just shot up and how they will wake up.

Hey as long as they don't pull anything crazy on my ***, then I would just leave them there. Now if they were bothering me in some weird way, then I would take action and have one of my guys to take care of him/her.

Make sure they are not injured or sick. Talk to them. Introduce them to my huge dog. Get to know them. Find out if they like being on the sidewalk. Find out if they want help and if so what would help them. Then help them if they want that.

I would toss them a blanket and whatever food I was going to toss out , but I cannot let them into my sanctuary .

Nohing I or you would not own the sidewalk. yu could call the cops, or ffer to help but that is the limit of your powers to intervien.
