Its about some kids that figure out how to make a force field so they build this ship. The ship, in this bubble goes into space to an actual space ship and discover that there are two aliens, one female one male, that are on it. They be-friend the aliens and then another ship arrives with a larger alien that happens to be the aliens father. Please help cause i'm drawing a blank.

Yep, sounds like Explorers from 1985. Great movie. It had Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix in it. Go to www.imdb.com and put in "Explorers". See if that is it.
