Dying clothing?

Does anyone know how to safely re-dye, in one area and not the entire item, a vintage article of clothing that is black and has faded under the arms. The area to be re-dyed is made of cotten fish-net.

You can get dye at any grocery store or drug store. Just put the black dye in and it'll turn out even.

throw the whole thing into a tub of black ink.!

it worked for me!
