Evil is a pretty strong word, but ignorance has contributed in the pain and suffering of many people, and allowed evil to continue unchecked in many parts of the world.

Could I call it an accomplice to evil?

No, ignorance implies a lack of education. Stupidity is evil, as it implies that they know the difference between right and wrong, but chose to do the wrong thing anyway.

not sure... evil is something deliberately wrong, right? Don't think some people are purposefully ignorant.

Can say ignorance is damaging.
