Looking forward to coming out this weekend...But my day was great. Dr. John Corvino came to Drake and talked about people's negative views on homosexuality, and he then joined us outside for a Candlelight Vigil.
It was slightly sad, really, talking about people like Matthew Shepard who were killed merely for being who they are.

But that just makes me proud of who I am and the people I surround myself with. All in all, it was a really great day. Midterms tomorrow though.... :(

To be honest, I forgot it was NCOD. Though interestingly I did show a few people my "I'm a card-carrying Lesbian" business card today. Unfortunately National Coming Out Day is not a big thing outside of HS and College. It would be great if it was more known in the rest of society.

My boyfriend stayed over last night and we had a wonderful time. The fun ended when the sun came up... he was off to classes and I was off to work... so we didn't really celebrate the NCOD except for wearing shirts, rainbow bracelets and having fun during the wee hours of the morning!!!

I have always been a little bit girly, I'm a gay guy, so everyone sort of knew that i was gay but weren't exactly sure. So when I told my parents and some of my close friends, they were of course a little bit shocked but they got over it in less than like 3 minutes.
It wasn't as dramatic as I imagined it would be.

No because I didn't have anyone to tell that I was gay because everyone already knows, and are cool with it. I'm very blessed.
But Happy Gay Day anyway.
