After the incident in Chappaquiddick where a young woman died due to his actions, this man has remained in public service in an elected capacity. How do people continue to vote for him? If this happened today do you think he could get away with it?

Democratic voters dont care about things like honesty, lawfulness, moral values or doing the right thing. All they care about is winning the election and implementing their wasteful social programs and causing havoc.

1. He's a Kennedy. His family's history of political office.
2. He has money and "connections" in government and society.
And, as for what if Chappaquiddick happened today - it could go either way.
Again the family's money could again buy his way out and/or pay for a cover-up. OR Modern forensics could have him convicted.
He's a sad spokesman for the Democrats. He can't possibly have a clear conscience - I would say that maybe that is why he's an alcoholic, but he probably already was one at the time of the accident. Mary Jo never has gotten justice regarding her drowning.

The reason that people still vote for Kennedy is very simple, He gets things for his state. Not only did he kill someone at Chappaquiddick he was also caught cheating at Harvard and his father had to buy him back into school. The people MA seem to have blinders on when it comes to the elections of Kennedy. Many elections that he has won he has run unopposed. Because he has been in congress for so long he is able to get things for the state of MA, such as more funding for the "big dig" etc...

He is a Massachusetts Democrat. He could open fire on the US Senate on live TV and if no one shot him to death he would be back the next day and the nut cases in Massachusetts would return him for another term six years later. Especially if all he shot were Republicans.

HeII the press and courts would label it assisted suicide. Of course anyone who shot back would be in jail instantly. If you look into it as I have, the little drive over the bridge is just a small part of this man's history.

He didn't have enough class to step down back then, and his constituency, doesn't have enough to demand it either. His presence in politics is a testament to it's filthy nature. Likewise, some of the scoundrels that remain on both sides of the aisle accentuate the same dysentery within this institution.

It's out of respect for his family. I'm a Dem and I can't figure that one out. His state keeps voting for him. Do I think he would get away with it? Yeah, probrobly. We elected the first President with a criminal record. Why not someone who was in an accident where someone died.
Did the Rep. on the above post forget Watergate, Iran/Contra, Foley....it's not only the Democrats.

Money bought him out of this incident. He is a very wealthy man due to his father who was a bootlegger of alcohol during prohibition.

Kennedy leaving the scene of a DUI fatal accident
Bill Clinton lying in court.
Hillary accessing private FBI files.
