the last few years I've been putting both... I make the white lights not blink and the color'd ones blink... it looks pretty nice in my opinion.

I like clear lights, but I have colored ones on the tree I have now. They came on the tree.

I'm sure that 411's tree is beautiful. I have also done that and if you push the colored lights further into the tree and leave the white ones closer to the outside it is gorgeous.

Neither! I have a pink christmas tree. The actual tree is Green but my lights as well as my ornaments..are PINK!! Yes I LOVE PINK..!! I have the greatest christmas in all the WORLD!!
