You won't. Please take this advice from someone who has been there: Don't take anyone on the internet at face value. Anyone at anytime could be messing with your head or have alternative motives. Be careful.

you don't but why do you care.that the thing about cyberspace we can be any one we want to be at any given minute. if the chat is enjoyable does it really matter. its not like your going to met any of theses people.

For the most part, you don't. I think it takes time to know, and even then, you're never really sure. Just talk and see what your instincts tell you.

i would rather request my chatmate to open his cam and mic. observe his moves and listen well to his voice. look at his lips movement if it jibes with what u heard from his mic. this is just one idea but not a guarantee.

lol you can't really know who you're talking to....you could be talking to someone with a screen name "Jane" but that "Jane" could be a guy named "Tony" but pretending to be a girl just for fun...so there's no way to know...
