How can I sterilize a used instrument my self?

I bought a used clarinet and was wondering if I could use bleach to sterilize it, otherwise music stores sterilize for $45-50.00. I don't really have that $ but I want to be safe.

Rubbing alcohol and dry it off real well...........:)~

i think that bleach would be way to strong for that situation. you have to put it to your mouth for gods sakes. yeah rubbing alchahol would work best or i would just spend the money so that its done profesionaly and then you could have someone to sue if something goes wrong
