As a non-smoker, I find that my coworkers who do smoke seem to take a lot more breaks than I do and use their smoking habit as an excuse. Do you feel companies should ban smokers from taking as many breaks as they do?

As a result of nicotene dependancy, people who smoke can get cranky, irritable and rude when they don't get it soon enough. Just ease off, all right? It's their time they're wasting, not yours.

Just so you know, some companies DO ban smokers from taking a smoke break. Others refuse to allow their employees from coming into work if they smell like cigarette smoke.

Not all smokers get more breaks then the non smokers. When I was working my co workers would go out for more smoke breaks then I did. They didnt want to relieve me for extra smoke breaks. It all depends on your work enviroment. If you notice that they get more time and more breaks than you do. Speak up for yourself. Tell your boss that that they go out all the time and to be fair you should get same amount of time they get or make your boss stop them for going out for extra breaks if your boss doesnt help out go to a hire authority.

You know you can take the same ammount of breaks right? Quit blaming others....Go stand outside and do nothing for 3 or 4 min...No one is stopping you

Some companies do. *shrug*
If you'd like to take a break for 5 minutes out of every half hour... go ahead.
