try finding a girl ur age at ur current skool (or hers) and ask her to go shopping with the two of u for nice fashioanble girl clothes. and they don't have to be overly girly either. a simple fitted tee-shirt and some low-rise flare jeans and maybe a cute sweater are nice and girly but not tottally frilly lacy and blah blah blah. i understand completely how this is. i didn't really dress like a girly-girl till like 8th grade and yes, it is a hard habit to break but as she gets deeper into puberty she will even become more willing to be the pretty lil woman she can be. so find some nice girls to help her shop and get outfit ideas that she'd be comfortable wearing and give her some time. u can't rush these things, hon- she'll eventually come into her girly stage on her own! good luck and tell ur friend good luck too!!

Boy clothes are relaxing so I see why she would enjoy wearing them, but she is not going to be comfortable wearing women clothes when she first start but she would get use to them. You need to tell your friend to find some women clothes that is comfortable to her( that's if they are a little big or baggy) and when she gets use to wearing them she can start wearing them a little fit. I know because I still wear men clothing but I don't wear them often. I wear them when I want to relax, but maybe she would find some other girls in the school that actually wear men clothing that would make her feel better about wearing them. But until then, you need to tell your friend to try to be as comfortable as she can in women clothing. Let her know that it would work because I am a living witness. It's just certain day when she needs to be a women, and she needs to put down the men clothing but don't stop wearing them if that make her(her) if you know what I mean.

Tell your friend there are plenty of fashions out there that are not girly that are for girls. Camo clothing for one, and of course there are jeans. She can select cute t-shirts without the frills of ribbons and lace. My daughter still wears clothes like your friend, so your friend may never be comfortable in girly clothes. My daughter has also gotten a lot of teasing from classmates, some resulting in actual fist fights, and some teasing from her boyfriends. Hopefully your friend will be able to defend herself, as it can get pretty tough. Thankfully she has you for a good friend.

Tell her to get a girl jersee and girl jeans and girl kicks. Everything girly but still boyish. Get a lot of pink, too.
