I wish that when a class gets canceled you aren't still required to do the homework....especially when your book is in the classroom :(

It means the absolute value (distance on the numberline) of the variable x is greater than 23. That means x is greater than positive 23, or x is less than negative 23.

since its a x is in an absolute value bar, the negative turns into a positive, so u have 2 answers, 23 and above ,and -23 and below

That little > mark means "is greater than". (The opposite, <, means "is less than".) So as an equation this is nonsense: it means "one times one is greater than twenty-three". Is this a catch question or what?

it means 1x1 =1 is 23 <> ? that's what it means

absolute (it is positive) X is greater than 23

so x = 24,25and higher or -24,-25 and lower

X = {24,25... ;-24,-25...}
