My dear friend stay away from it, unless you have money to throw away, give it to charity, you will get better satisfaction out of it., First the media that you will play on the ipod will most probably be something you have downloaded from the net, it freezes with .wmv and .avi file so if you think you can get some nice movies and see them later 8 times out of 10 they will freeze and you will have to turn the thing off and then turn it back on, the buttons are very fragile and sensitive, make sure you haven't eaten a double cheeseburger before operating it, their customer service is probably the worst in the universe, even after being directed to some moron in INdia or Phillipines it will resort to you having an extended warranty from the place you the bought ipod to solve your problem, its basically a yuppie toy. Now if you get one on ebay or craigslist dont pay more than $150 believe me there are more than a few available, but trust me they all have problems, try researching Lacie product, for storage and video media with laptops and desktops. Portable stuff not worth for video................
I sold mine on craigslist for $120 , the damn buttons kept short circuiting, it would play if I paused it or it would go back to another clip if I tried to >> it.
itunes is a pain in the butt, it had flaws when transporting files from the pc too. Something a lot of people dont know till you try it, it has to do with propietary software conflict, unless all yur stuff is apple.

I have a 30 GB Video iPod and I really enjoy it. The price may not be ideal for you but it is worth it. You can play videos, songs, and store pictures. When I showed my video iPod to my co-workers, they were impress. One of them actually wants to buy video ipod now as a gift.

I think it's worth it. I've had mine for a few weeks now and have really enjoyed all that you can do with it. Games, videos, podcasts, tv shows, movies, and of course music.
