it depends on the material..for insentience..my sons trip pants get washed and dried inside out. any thing with things that hang off of the material gets turned inside out, but for the most part everything gets turned right side out.
1..arm and hammer...gets grease and dirt out better i have tried others and nothing is better.
2..shout for the hard stains
3..bleach for the white
4..dawny..

Wash my clothes wearing side out, unless the instructions say to turn it inside out. I think Tide and Wisk are best. I always buy fragrance free. Hate running into people who's clothes have gone through a fragranced laundry detergent followed by another fragranced drier sheet.

I like to have the clothes the right way, that is where the dirt is. I hate it when socks are inside out and when I go to fold them and turn them the right way, I always have to rewash. Washing them this way I also have the ability to notice any spots.
I use Tide with bleach.

I wash them so they are not inside out unless there is a special instruction to wash it inside out (due to the design on the outside). I like Tide with scents.

If they have a smooth, non-stretchy finish, I dry them right side out. If they are stretchy or nubby, I turn them inside out to avoid damaging the finish.
I'm not too particular about detergent, except, it has to be liquid. I buy good brands in large sizes at Costco to get the best price. I put in additives for particular needs, like white vinegar to help keep darks from having lint cling to them. I wash in cool water, except for linens which I wash in hot/rinse cold.

I usually wash my darker clothes inside out especially pants so lint from other clothes or towels won't show.
