Just plain sudafed will work fine. If you aren't sure what you can take call your doc's office and ask to speak to a nurse and tell them you're pregnant and want to know what you can take for a cold. When I was pregnant my doctor gave me a whole list of otc stuff I could use and what to avoid. The list encompassed everything from nausea remedies to cold stuff to body lotion. Don't be afraid to call them, that's what they're for. If they give you an attitude about it just tell your doctor.

You can take Vitamin C-1000mg every hour-what your body does not use leaves in urine and you can ask your doctor to be sure/safe.A nurse had me do this several years ago had a cold could not get rid of and took the VitC 1000mg every hour and within a day was gone---For instant temp relief for coughing you can heat lemon juice and can dilute if whole juice too strong, with some water and sweeten honey(safe during pregnancy for know can't give to baby or toddler? Not sure but can use sugar and drink -will ease throat and ease the coughing a bit then just before you go to bed if trouble sleeping heat milk-heating the milk activates a substance in it that relaxes ,makes sleepy-works for me

If you don't want to take medication try using some honey to coat your throat or get some hard candies. You may just end up suffering through it.
My doctor told me it was ok to take plain Robitussin for coughing if you did decide to try a medication.
Hope you feel better soon.

Those little things called Shower Soothers are great. Since I couldn't handle HOT water, I just threw one in the shower and sat in the bathroom. The steam really helps.

humidifier or plain robitussin cough is what my doc told me... my ob gave me a list of acceptable meds - you can always call during the day and see if they can give you the list.
Hope you feel better.

Vitamin C, garlic (moderately), primrose oil (again, moderately), and other mild and natural immune system boosters will help get rid of the cold faster. They won't relieve your symptoms immediately, though. -yk

Well, you should ask your DR. but if it's too late at night for that ask a pharmasist at your local store, they can help. They usually know about natural remedies too.

eat raw garlic, or get a product called supertonic ( http://www.herbdoc.com/store/Scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=6&h=1 ) it really works, and is ok if you're pregnant
