Here is a link to a quite good tutorial of the basics of Microsoft Excel; however as the others said it's not an easy program to simply pick up and it requires you to learn it..
Anyways, here's the link to the tutorial.

Adding calculations to cells means you have to enter formulas. It's really not something that can be answered here. The program requires a lot of hands-on typing.
Either find a course or conduct an online search using "excel help" and find a site offering tutorials. One example is below.

if you need to do simple calculations just enter an equals sign before the numbers
so to do 4 plus 7 type
=4+7
then press enter
the answer will show up in the cell
its a very complex program, you will learn as you play around with it. If you get stuck, hit F1 for help, it covers all basic aspects!

Open the program and work on the examples given by Microsoft. Also use the programs HELP and screw up a few times until you find your way. And don't forget that:

go to the help section
tip: in the toolbar, there's a sigma (the sign that looks like a capital "E")- this means "sum". If you want to add a bunch of numbers in a column, then highlight all the numbers and click the sigma.
