What did you think of their 2006 World Cup performance?
When Tim Cahill scored I actually cried I was that happy. Despite what Neill has said in recent interviews, the Socceroos where phenomenal... they shut every one of their critics up!!!

I know a lot of people have asked but what about that penalty? Was it a penalty?
It had something to do with Neill's arm obstructing... I don't think it was intentional though - He was late in his challenge but the intent to bring Grosso down was not there.

Do you believe that they are good contenders for the Asian Cup and the World Cup in 2010?
DEFINITELY!!!!! But it still early days and the Socceroos are reforming after losing Hiddink and the retirements of Socceroo Stalwarts Lazaridis, Kalac, Vidmar and Popovic. With Cahill, Neill and Bresciano leading them I can see them playing strong in 2010.

Do you enjoy watching them play?
YES!! Always have... seen them in person a few times as well! I remember seeing Australia v Ghana years ago... Graham Arnold was playing along with Aurelio Vidmar, Mark Bosnich etc.

How good was Bresciano's goal last night!! Not nearly as good as his goal against Uruguay - I'll never forget the look of shock on his face.

Who is your favourite player?
NOW - Cahill, Neill, Bresciano and Dodd (I'm from Adelaide!!)

PAST - Ivanovic, Tobin, Wade, the Vidmar brothers and of course... JOHNNY WARREN!!

What was your favourite Socceroos moment of 2006?
Cahill scoring the winner against Japan!!!!

rumman... really goes to show how much you know!!! It makes a hell of a lot of sense! Me and 3 others gave you a thumbs down... If you knew anything about the Socceroos and didn't write comments like that for the sake of points you'd know exactly why the Socceroos now play in the AFC!

HAVE YOU HEARD THE LASTEST..!!?!!
TIM CAHILL'S BEEN NOMINATED FOR THE FIFA WORLD PLAYER AWARD!!!!

The socceroos out performed everyones expectations, and football has certainly come a long way in Oz. However let's not run before we can walk, the Asian Cup may be your best chance at the mo, the World Cup is probably a bit too optimistic for now.
Thought they played good football, worked well as a team, and would enjoy seeing them in future.
Good luckfor the future.
PS We will win the Ashes again this year, sorry if that hurts.

I was so pissed when the Italians got that PK! It was BS. The Socceroos played so well and they get screwed over. It sucks. I loved the match against Japan. They were losing by 1 and towards the end of the 2nd half they scored 3 great goals. Cahill is the shitt....!! lol

They're doing so well right now. I'm soo glad they joined AFC. OFC wasn't bringing them enough (if not any) competition what so ever. They needed to move on to bigger and better things. It makes sense. I'm so anxious to see how they are gonna do in the 07 Asian Cup.
2010 WC, Australia will come back stronger than ever!! =]

I love watching them play. They play decent football and is one of the best under-dogs in the world. My favorite player- M. Bresciano and Cahill.

i think of they have had a stable international Cup. Guus Hiddink have finished a stable job, even nonetheless i think of he made some blunders, tremendously in the interest with Italy. With Japan, Cahill (late) front became elementary for the interest (2 goals), yet Japan loss of journey (3 goals in 8 min. in the final 10 min. of the interest). yet, it confirmed some character on the Socceroos. With Brasil they did no longer accomplish that sturdy, yet that they had the excellent team in the international in front of them. the interest with Croatia confirmed returned some character, with a late equalizer from Kewell, probable the main mandatory participant they have (with Viduka). And returned, the various advantage is going to Hiddink and his way of "assembling" participant on the sphere. the interest with Italy became a great Hiddink's flop: they performed the 2d a million/2 with one extra-guy, yet their play became too sluggish and too predictable, because of the presence of in basic terms one forward (Viduka) marked by Cannavaro and 5 midfielders (as against in basic terms 3 from Italy). The addition of a striker got here too late and the foul in the penalty container became no longer the excellent decision of play for the Australian defender. that they had a greater ball possession (too sluggish play and midfield superiority) however the probabilities on purpose have been extra suitable for Italy. If I could provide them a vote (a million to 10) i visit offer them a 6.
