the answer is 15, 177, and 109
we are going to make the first number equal to x
#1= x
#2= 12x-3
#3= 7x+4
so... now we add them all
(x)+(12x-3)+(7x+4) =301
20x+1=301
20x=300
x=15 and from that i got my three numbers.
hope that helped :)

Set up your three numbers:
First = x
Second = 12x - 3
Third = 4 + 7x
These come from your second sentence.
The first sentence says the sum is 301. Take the 3 expressions above, add them together, and set it equal to 301
20x +1 = 301
20x = 300
x = 15
12x-3 = 177
4 + 7x = 109

Well let the 1st number be X 2nd be Y and the 3rd be Z
X+Y+Z=301
Y=12X-3
Z=7X+4
so put into the main equation is...X+(12X-3)+(7X+4)=301
==>20X+1=301
==>X=15
put back into the Y,Z equation respectively...
Y=12(15)-3
==>Y=177
Z=7(15)+4
Z=109
So the 1st num is 15
2nd is 177
3rd is 109

x - first number
y - second
z - third
x + y + z = 301 --eq.1
12x - 3 = y --eq.2
7x + 4 = z --eq.3
subs. eqs. 2 and 3 to the 1st eq.
x + (12x-3) + (7x+4) = 301
x + 12x + 7x - 3 + 4 = 301
20x + 1 = 301
20x = 301-1
20x = 300
x = 15
subs.to eq. 2 and 3
y=12(15) - 3 = 177
z = 7(15) + 4 = 109
