I said the same thing in a question not too long ago. I agree with you. My word were, "While being afraid to make a decision and therefore not doing anything for fear that you may regret the consequences, you may actually later end up regreting the fact that you did not do anything. So you still may end up regretting your decision. Because inaction is a decision in itself." It was not those exact words but that is what came off the top of my head. The question went something like that along with, "what do you think of this statement?"

Life is about living and learning. The only way to learn is to have the courage to attempt something even though you have that fear of making a mistake. That is the only way you will find out if it was a mistake for you or not.

If one fears making mistakes, this person will always second-guess themself. They will have little to no self-confidence, and will have trouble making decisions. It Means the person will never be able to enjoy life because they will always be afraid of a mistake, which (in my opion) is not something to be feared. Everyone makes mistakes, and it is one of the best ways to learn.
