That is so incorrect, the home owner is responsible for everything inside the exterior walls but the Strata is responsible for the exterior walls. The exception would be if you damaged the walls deliberately, ie cut into the wall say, for a new window, then changed your mind. You get my drift. You did not provide enough info to give answer this question better than that...sorry.

DEPENDS OM DAMAGE, A LEAK CAN BE YOU OR NEIGHBOR
ALSO DEPENDS ON HOW IT WAS BUILT...
FIRE WALLS BUTTRESS TROUGH ROOF??? INSIDE FIRE WALL MADE OF SHEETROCK??

TOO MANY VARIABLES!
