A skunk has moved in underneath my dining room. My house is partial basement and partial crawl space (where the previous owners added on). The skunk moved in where some raccoons used to hang out. I was not a fan of the raccoons either. We were plotting to get rid of them, but they pretty much went away one day. Or got into a territory dispute with a skunk. It's spraying and making the whole house smell awful. It makes me feel like throwing up and makes it very difficult to sleep. Suggestions PLEASE!!! We borrowed a live trap and are attempting to lure it with peanut butter. Any other tips would be VERY HELPFUL! Thanks!

Try throwing moth balls under the house. I know we have ran other animals away with them. Also in the trap, put some tuna fish or cat food in there. Good luck and keep the dogs and cats in if you have any.

Home Depot used to sell Red Fox Urine. It works great on skunks. A little on a tissue and throw it under the house, Works with other little pests too

The animal rights folks won't like it, but if you mix anti-freeze with some food your skunk problem will be taken care of... although you should be careful if you have neighborhood cats or dogs that could eat it.

Is it possible it could be a fox as well. The normal scent of them is "skunkish". Call animal control and ask them to stop by.

you should have some sort of animal controll in your town. I would call them and have them take care of it. though a live trap is very thoughtful of you.
