I would say no. I'm an atheist who votes Republican. In my experiences, I have gotten into more debates over politics than religion. When I do happen upon a believer who wants to discuss religion, the debates are usually quite tame and enlightening. When ever I discuss politics with a Democrat, the debates are almost always heated and end badly.

To summarize, the Christians that I've met don't get angry over the fact that I have a different view of the big picture then they do, but Democrats almost always resort to name calling, and throw a fit if I don't agree with their views of the big picture.

I would say yes, in the sense that there can be no real winner in the fight. Both are fights of ideals with neither side willing to compromise most of the time. In fact, here in Ohio Mike Dewine (Senate) was basically thrown under the bus by the GOP because he helped compromise with a few other democrats and republicans over some issues in congress last year. The unwillingness to compromise is a large similarity between the two fights.

I accept as true with charmaine f. The combat is between reliable and evil, no longer Christians vs. Atheists. as far because of fact the Democrats and Republicans pass, they are the two evil to this point as i'm in touch.

More like a fight between the Oakland Raiders and the Tennessee Titans

Not exactly. I argue with dems and atheists all the time and its weird because even though I view ALL atheists as democrats, it seems that at least 1/3 of all democrats are Christians, so the arguements are not exactly the same. For example, if I'm arguing with a liberal, I won't assume that he is atheist, but I always assume atheists are liberal.

Actually, i believe not at all. The fight between Christians and Atheists is all based on belief and faith, there is no way someone can prove the Bible or that God exists.

The Democrats and Republicans, well, they both lie, it is hard for a person to pick either side. Basically, this one works differently, the republicans have a plan, and democrats refute it. Every time, this is how it works

EDIT: Hey, i finally saw your avatar, for like 2 seconds. SWEET!

They are similar only in that the most extreme partisans in both battles know the least about the positions of the groups that are in conflict.
It's like there was a big sign up - "Pick a side, any side, and start yelling"

Not at all. There are CHristians in both camps, and there are atheists in both camps. Perhaps someone can produce a statistics showing that there are more christians in Republican then Democrats.

Bot of course they are! Instead of finding a common live and let live middle ground, they are both hell bent(no pun intended on the atheist/christian side of this question!) on converting the other to their frame of thinking

Absolutely. Whichever "side" you are on, you will try to get your point across. When you get two people who have different views in a room together, the topic will inevitably move toward whatever they disagree about. It's human nature.
