Honestly, I'm not sure if that's a bad thing. Is it that you can't concentrate and get giddy or just the meditation brings you to giddiness? Laughter is good for the soul, you know.

You may have a mild form of middle ear infection. Your middle ear is your centre of balance and when it's out, so is your balance. It's common for people with middle ear problems to get severe dizziness (if it's really bad) or simply get a little giddy while having closed eyes for long periods while upright (if it's mild). Try closing your eyes for an extended period while you're standing or sitting up - if you get dizziness see a doctor.

You'll know when you're achieving enlightenment and I'm fairly sure this isn't it. I've never heard of anyone experiencing profound dizziness and have never experienced it myself. It sounds physical to me.

Do you feel conscious of the self at this time? Try to notice where it's coming from-if there's some sort of tension you feel or repressed emotion you're feeling. If you really feel that it's just arising, it doesn't seem counterproductive necessarily. Try to witness it and be with it.

Sometimes, you just have to put up with a particular phase until you get a breakthrough. It's there for a reason...you just need to figure out what it is. It can be frustrating...

Because you are relaxed and therefore your muscles are not constricting the bloodflow to your brain. Also, you are taking in more oxygen which is carried to the brain by the blood. The oxygen is making you giddy. Ignore it and concentrate on something else.

because meditation when we do it in the western world without teh pure knowledge makes us feel woosy. We have not got the technice.....I did it once, opened my eyes, felt like I was on bad L.S.D. no we do not know. even the hippies do not know, you have to have been and lived in the east to fully understand and then it must take years. do not meditate, go dance your *** of to some great jazz music in a seedy club. much better.
