Yes, you can. The church will still marry you and your other half. However you can take evening classes, about 6 - 12 of them depending on the perish. If not at the one you regularly go to, then there must be another catholic church which offers the classes. Confirmation ceremony's are normally preformed in April with a Bishop.

I was told absolutely not. You need to have made your sacraments. you and your fiance also need to take precanna (sp?) classes together. You can get most of your sacraments finished when you take these courses though. Sometimes if you know a priest or someone they may make an exception, which is one things that irks me about the church, but anyway that's why my husband and I didn't get married in the catholic church. i am catholic and he is methodist and they wouldn't marry us unless my husband did the classes. You can have your marriage blessed by the church though after you are legally married. Hope that was helpful.

I did not have to go through confirmation or even join the catholic church.

I did have to take a week of classes. They were so boring.

Go to a priest and ask him. He can get permission to confirm you in a short time. Confirmation is a sacrament that gives your soul extra grace and gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is called down upon you and hands are layed on you from an unbroken line from one of the first apostles. Give your life to Jesus, take him as your personal savior and Lord with your own mouth. If you truly love him and mean what you say you are bound for heaven. This also will help your upcoming marriage. Your life will also feel changed. Study your faith and the Bible--it's fun and rewarding. I hope you have a wonderful marriage and I pray for you!
