Space junk is a problem, but it is not so important as to merit such an incredible expensive venture as to send a magnet up into space and pilot it around to capture all the magnetic particles.
There is still plenty of room up in near Earth orbit, space is a very big place.
Besides, over time friction will cause the space debris to slow and re-enter Earth's atmosphere were most of it will burn up. This process is free, it just requires us to wait.

Um... no. We also have useful junk in space, such as satellites and a space station. Cleaning up space is not worth losing all the advantages that these things give us (eg. Internet, TV, communication)

no way.

because the junk is so sparse and far away from each other and magnetism is stronger as you get closer to the magnet, you would need an immensely powerful electromagnet and since they are made of heavy materials, it would be completely cost prohibitive to send it into orbit.

one other problem, magnetism of that magnitude would inexorably move the orbit of satellites, and interfere with magnetically run instruments on all man made vessels. it would basically wreck havoc.

God needed to guard us from understanding too lots. that's what the snake tempted Eve to do, understand each and every thing, in the backyard of Eden. human beings are characterised by making use of understanding extra desirable than we are able to safeguard. we've the skill with our understanding to do stable or terrible, evil issues. as an occasion, a similar skill which could layout a device to do stable can layout a element to kill. a similar skill to speak encouragement can talk to break somebody. a similar interest point that gets us into arts and creativity can get us into pornography. We only have extra understanding than what we are able to safeguard. And in terms of the tower of Babel, the human beings have been given together to do their superb to realize heaven on their very own, with out God's help. there replaced into no genuine threat to God yet he necessary to stop their foolishness. perhaps God has no problem with us adventuring into different components using fact the justifications are not a similar using fact those on the tower of Babel. on the different hand there have been an poor lot of tragedies in the area software so i does not presume it to have God's approval.

The energy costs in moving the magnet around to where all the junk is would be tremendous.

Due to the world's current economic status, I would think that a magnet of that size would not be feasible for years to come, and in my opinion, anybody suggesting such a thing is either crazy or oblivious to current events around them. Go plant a tree or something if your so worried about our planet.

Hi. Very little iron gets launched into space. Best solution is to direct it back to Earth's atmosphere for incineration.

space junk isnt a problem. the earth is always moving, and it never comes back to the same spot. space junk is always left behind.

And put a string on the magnet so we could pull it back to earth when it gets full.
Just send up Sanford and son.....
