I have no problem with the gay and lesbian community but I feel that marriage is between a man and a woman and their could be another term for a gay or lesbian commitment. I don't know the technical definition for marriage is but I feel our spiritual force would have intended it to be that way. My opinion my right to have it.

Not from a human standpoint from a monetary standpoint though i am against it. If it would be implemented theres no way to check the validity of all the benefits the significant other could recieve bogusly thus driving the costs up for our services. Insurance, taxes, and many other costs in our daily lives would increase significantly unfortunately. There are so many couples that would suddenly cost us the systems would suddenly be overwhelmed unfortunately. As long as it were handled as most homosexual relationships are (discreetly) then from a human standpoint it wouldnt be that bad. Still, it is not natural and simply isnt something i believe in or would like to see in my lifetime.

No, I am not against same sex marriages. Noone has the right to stop another person from being happy ... even if it's with the same sex. You should be allowed/free to marry whomever makes you happy. I'm Catholic, too, but I am all for it. Love is blind as they say. Being happy is one of the things that a person deserves in life. If that means being with the same sex, then I say go for it.

It is perfectly fine to stand against marriage within the church but marriage outside of the church is not a religious institution. It is a civil legal contract between two people. It does not have to be about love or about producing children.
Gay people have the right to form relationships, to provide insurance , and access during health emergencies to their partners.
You don't have to compromise your moral beliefs to stand up for the civil rights of your fellow americans. Be proud of your beliefs, live by them, but don't force them onto others .We are all sinners , and it is up to god not the government to sort us out.

There is nothing wrong with it. The Catholic church was also against divorce until the last 30 years. Can you imagine, if they still followed that how there numbers would have dwindled.

Even if it is a sin, who hasn't sinned??

Yes, I am against gay marriage because I believe it is a sin. But I think that some straight people live a sinful marriage too, so it's not just gays.

I don't see what the big deal is. What gay couples do with their lives, just like straight people, shouldn't make much difference. So my answer is "no." I am not against gay marriages.
