There are 3 forms of cricket
1) The test cricket- it is played over 5 days max.(90 overs per day)
each team gets to bat twice alternatively. The team which reamains unbeaten of not all out n have reached the target set wins. If they dont reach the target set but still have wickets in hand at the end of day 5 , the match ends in a draw. n if the team lose all their wickets wickets without reaching the target they lose.
2)One Day Cricket-Each team bats a span of 50 overs (in each over 6 deliveries are bowled)once and the team which scores more runs win irrespective of the no of wickets that fall
the game ends in a tie if both team score same no. runs.
3)20-Twenty :it is the barand new form of cricket playin at a domestic level in England,West Indies,Pakistan,Sri Lanka. This form is slowly gaining popularity at international level. In case of a tie 3 bowlers from each team bowls at the stumps n try to knock it down(similar to penalty shootout in football)but here the stumps are unguarded.

These three forms r recognized by the ICC(International Cricket Council).

There are 10 teat playing nation n around 20 One Day playing nation.
Gaining Test Status is a pride in the cricket world.
Australia,England,India,Pakistan,Sri Lanka,West Indies,Bangladesh,South Africa,New Zealand n Zimbabwe have the test status.

Bowling Batting n Feilding are the three important aspects of the game.
all three similar to the baseball but the style is completely different n it is mor intresting than the Baseball Game.

Gerald, Gerald, Gerald! You must surely be a Yank. Therefore, I respectfully suggest that you continue to think that the cricket section relates to an insect, because the "sport" of the same name is far too glorious and artful for you to comprehend. In addition, to follow cricket one requires an attention span much, much, much, much longer than the longest any American could even imagine exists, that alone possess. Stick to your own bat and ball game - glorified rounders - which was most clearly invented with the need to please those with the intelligence and attention span of a gnat. Have a good day.
