My first reaction was to tell you to do your own homework and call you lazy, but then I realized the topic was homework "help". The answer "suprasteve" provided was very good. when he gave half to his brother he had 4
when he gave a third to his sister he had 6
when he gave half to his friend he had 12
divide the resultant amount by the fraction he shared and that should give you the previous amount
