It depends on what part of the country you lived in during that time. In the west is would have been very common to see signs that said No Blacks, No Dogs and NO Indians. Even after the end of the Jim Crows laws in the south. In the northern states there was also segregation based on ethnic background and race.

Sure it was because Asians were just beginning to finally call America a home away from home. The Mexicans were hiding from everyone once they easily crossed the border and everyone else that wasn't black or white really didn't have a say because they were so few in numbers.

No. Many establishments and services were for WHITES ONLY. So if you weren't white, consider yourself segregated.
