Our country is in the worst shape it's been in since Carter but according to Bush everything is rosey. Are my fellow Americans so ignorant and gullible enough to fall for his pack of lies? Do you think Bush believes it himself or is he holding back laughter as he tells us everything is great and he and his cronies bleed our country dry?

For those who asked for details: There's not room here to go into detail about all the bullcrap but one example is a "projected" $500 billion budget deficit that is now a $250 billion budget deficit. Bush claims they "cut" the deficit when his people made the projection in the first place. (I can tell my wife we owe $50,000 and then when it's only $25,000 I can buy that big screen plasma TV. Do you think she'll fall for it?). Under the Bush administration we have gone from a budget surplus to a budget deficit.

Try walking on the other side of the street, talk to the people who walk there, approach them as a receptive person and not a confrontational interrogator. You may find that things are not as bad you seem to believe they are.

Try to remember that the USA is a world power and it has great responsibilities imposed upon it. We also have a way of life that we are trying to preserve, one that many countries would like to see us lose and become what they are.

I say this because I have many friends who tell me a different story, a story of great successes, special accomplishments, and a lot of people wishing us great luck with what we are trying to do.

The world is big, it's diversified, it's full of people who want us destroyed and there are more who want us to help them to join us.

Look around, listen, try both sides, trust someone to tell you the truth. You may be enlightened about things as they really are.

Good luck.

Give us a specific example of what Bush has said. Then support your idea that it is a "crock of crap" with facts, figures and links. Otherwise you come across as a simple complainer. No specifics, just griping.

My favorite Clinton quotes:

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998.

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

Yea, it kind of sucks how we live in a hierarchically structured society leaving the decisions in the hands of only a few. But then again its the only way a society really works. Oh well. Joy and happiness to all :)

I quit believing anything Bush said since his inauguration speech in 2001. Bush sadly not only believes his own lies, and is cocky about it. I can't understand why there are so many still disillusioned about him.

we are in debt and it is hypothetically safer then eBay. 'broker has the appropriate to refuse/delete bids from terrorist communities bearing directly to Al-Qaeda, except offered on the "purchase It Now" fee.'

Regardless - he's not going anywhere for another year so what are you going to do - be an a *s to everyone around you and pilfer in your own agonizing thoughts about our president or just think okay - we have one more year.

OF course. Why are people so gullible to the suggestions that things are so bad when the numbers don't support that?
