how do i replace a dashboard light on my silverado?

Get a Chilton's manual to tell you how but magic man is right. The bulbs when you get the instrument cluster out are simply gonna take 1/4 turn to remove. Sometimes a small pair of needle nose pliers makes it easier to grip the little sockets.

reach up under the dash, these lights are plug in type. take it out and replace the bulb then re plug the bulb connector.

remove the instrument panel cover, remove the instrument panel, replace bulbs as needed and reinstall
